Baan Panburi Village

Situated on the north east corner of Koh Pha Ngan, this secluded natural resort with a wide frontage of over 300 meters expanding over half the bay of white sand and crystal clear water and lots of coconut trees were developed by the owner and his friends to provide the best up-market budget accommodation on the island. Details for natural beauty and cleanliness have been blended with simple huts and burres that served as idyllic paradise for young and seasoned travelers alike who by chance has stumbled across this isolated paradise. This remote unspoiled haven is by far the jewel of Koh Pha Ngan.



The resort was opened in January 2001 consisting of 62 huts and bures. Bures is the word for island cottage
made of local wooden materials. Here it is made of bamboo panel walls, palm leave roof with wooden floor,rustic and picturesque in appearance. Our guests often hang their hammocks by the front porch which has striking seaview and spend lazy time reading or taking naps. Island hut is a slightly smaller and less detail version, both are cleanly kept and have excellent view.

We have always strive to make our home the best natural resort on Koh Phangan, providing clean, friendly tropical paradise with our 300 meters of private white sand beach.

Bungalows

All our beach front Bures and Island huts have been enlarged together with individual garden so that you can lounge in comfort or in your hammock with the beach and waves only a few meters away or at night time lay in bed glazing at the stars that light up sky, or on full moon nights you can stare the biggest full moon you did ever see. An experience not be missed.

To live to our tradition, of serving the best food on Koh Phangan (as commented by Joe Cummings, author of the Lonely Planet onThailand Island and beach 2003) we have opened a full service section of our Sala Rim Nam Restaurant where you can enjoy intimate and romantic atmosphere beside our usual causual dining and beach front area to accommodate an overflowing number of diners who patrons us nightly.

Our Chef Ja, who is welknown to our repeated visitors as usual has arranged manynew dishes for you to try like her spicy egg plant salad, seafood soufler in coconut, authentic Indian masara prawns curry, vegetarian gado-gado salad to green curry pizza and not to mention the fresh succulent seafood B.B.Q from the catch of the day. And of cause if you wish Ja to prepare any special dishes for your special occasion, all you have to do is ask for her.

Sala Rim Nam Terrace Restaurant

Considered the best eating place on Koh Phagnan. Chef Ja and her team offer a wide selection of local authentic Thai food and succulent catch of the day B.B.Q. nightly as well as international delights ranging from Chicken Masala, Shrimp Tempura to Peperoni Pizza. You can choose to dine in our full service terrace restaurant or the open our beach front lawn with tables especially set up for you nightly.

Thai food cooking class

Our weekly 2-3 hours cooking class is set up by our Chef Ja where delicious Tom Yum Kung, Green Curry and Lemongrass Soup, etc are taught so that when you go back, you can enjoy these dishes at home.

Sawasdee Massage House

Our Sawasdee massage house has been a very popular place with our visitors with our rates being much below what are usually charge at other resorts. We provide a complete range of Famous Thai massage services. The treatment consists of Reflexology (Foot massage), the Ancient Art of Thai Traditional Massage, Oil Massage and the Combination of Foot massage and Thai traditional massage, an experience that should not be missed.

Swimming and relaxing on the beach

The whole beach is yours for 24 hours over 300 meters long and at distance of only 5 - 20 meters from your huts or bures. It is no wonder our guests pick up quite a tan while staying with us.

Kayaking / Rentals

Kayaks are available for exploring the rock formations at the far side of the beach, for great for snorkeling to see small fishes, and sea creatures and brain corals. Bicycles and motorcycles can also be rented to explore other beaches and villages.

Scuba diving and Snorkeling

A Scuba and snorkeling school is located next to our premise. Trips to nearby excellent diving sites such as Chumporn Pinnacle are available daily. Open water scuba courses for beginners and PADI permits are also available. Please contact front office for arrangement.

Beach Valley Ball

Often a few late afternoon games are set up among guests that provide a good appetite for a cool glass of beer afterwards.

Boat to Full Moon Party

Boats leave for Full Moon Party from our beach (30 minutes ride) every full moon from 7.30-10.30 p.m. A once is a life time experience when sometime up to 20-30,000 people gather for this infamous party on the southern trip of the Island.

How to get there

From Suratthani an express boat departs the main town pier at
8.00 A.M. and 4.00 P.M.

Alternately a ferry departs Donsak pier (50 minutes bus ride from Suratthani town) at 10:00 A.M. 2:00 P.M. and 6.00 P.M. taking two and a half hours to Thong Sala, Koh Pha Ngan.

From Samui, an express boat leaves Nathorn pier at 11.00 A.M. to Thong Sala taking 50 minutes or from Big Buddha pier near Samui Airport leaving 10:30 A.M. 1:00 P.M. and 4.00 P.M. to Haad Rin pier taking forty five minutes. Also long tail water taxi from Big Buddha, Samui to Haad Rin then on to Thong Nai Pan Noi taking one and a half hour.
