Ko Pu (Pu Island) Krabi,North of Ko Jum

Ko Pu or Pu island is a beautiful, unspoilt island paradise. Its culture, friendliness, and tranquillity give visitors an unforgettable experience.

Bonhomie Beach Cottege, family owned and run , prides itself on showing our guests from all around the world a good time , the beauty and privacy of our beach and the well kept culture and natural beauty of Ko Pu. You are bound to enjoy our home cooked western or Thai meals.

Ko Pu or Pu Island as it is known locally is a beautiful, unspoiled island paradise situated in between Krabi town and Ko Lanta not far from the famous island of Ko Phi Phi in the Andaman sea.

The northern part of the island is called Ban Ko Pu while the southern part is called Ban Ko Jam and is around 30 square kilometers in size.

Just over 3,000 people populated Ko Pu earning a living from fishing, cloth weaving and a rubber plantation. Three primary schools provide education for about 600 children.

Naturally the island is blessed with a number of clean sandy beaches with crystal clear water and areas of coral reef to explore.

With little impact from tourism Ko Pu can justify the phrase ‘unspoilt and undiscovered’ with fresh water from its highest jungle peak (395 mtrs) serving the local villages and its rainforest containing an abundance of wildlife and rare plants.

The Rooms

The owner's son is an architect. He carefully studied the island view and her environment before building the cottage next to the beach. The cottage are in harmony with the natural forest.

They were built by skilled carpenters from the northern Thailand ,who used the reclaimed timber.
It is our intention to keep the island green and no large trees were cut down.

Our rooms are located under the big threes making the place natural and comfort.
Blowing sea breeze keeps the rooms cool throuhout most of the year.

All of our bathrooms were built of the rocks taken from the vicinity of the resort making the rooms natural and beautiful. They are also equiped with en suite facilities including freshwater shower.
