Day 1. Bangkok- Lopburi - Phitsanulok - Sukhothai ( L,D ) Pick up from the hotel in Bangkok . Our trip's first stop is in the town of Bang Pa In , where the Royal family has their summer palace surrounded with a beautiful garden. The park it self is open to the public at times, when the Royal Family is not present. From here the our journey continues to Lopburi, we will visit ruins from two temples dating back to the year 900AC. Lunch will be catered in a local restaurant in Lopburi. After lunch our trip continues to Phitsanulok, approximately 390 km North of Bangkok. We will visit the Wat Phra Si, which houses the famous statue of Phra Phutta Chinnarat. This temple is the one, if not the most holy temple in Thailand . After our visit in the temple, we continue to Sukhotai and overnight at the hotel Pailyn (or similar), situated approximately 4km. from Sukhothai's historical park. Dinner at the Hotel.
Day 2. Sukhothai - Lampang ( B,L,D ) After breakfast we will visit the historical park of Sukhothai , famous for its many ruins of temples and Buddha images. Sukhothai was the first capital of old Siam . The country of Sukhothai used to be a very good country. "The one that wants to trade with horses, can do so. The one that wants to trade with silver or gold, can do so. The people is satisfied". The King Ramkhamhaeng is freedom and respect, and he is still today honoured as a great King among his people. His bench, the one he used to sit upon, a copy is found in the park by the ruins of the castle. Lunch at a local restaurant. Thereafter we continue our journey to Lampang, where we will spend the night at the charming hotel, Lampang River Lodge (or similar), situated in the outskirts of Lampang. Before we check in at the hotel we will make a short city tour. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 3. Lampang - Chiang Mai ( B,L ) Departure from Lampang to Chiang Mai. We will visit a hospital for elephants. On our road to Chiang Mai, we will drop in and visit the mountain tribe of Karen. We will also go by Pasang, a cotton weaving village and Wat Haripoonchai, a beautiful Temple in Lampoon. Lunch will be catered at a local restaurant and in the afternoon we will do a stop in a craftsman town, where we will look into some workshops, to see and study how one crafts beautiful furniture made of teak wood and rosewood. The tour ends at the hotel or at the airport in Chiang Mai.

Day 1. Bangkok - Bang Pa In - Lopburi - Phitsanulok - Sukhothai ( L,D ) Our trip's first stop is in the town of Bang Pa In, Bang Pa In is a very well known town, the Royal family has their summer palace in this little town. Lunch will be catered in a local restaurant in Lopburi. After lunch our trip continues to Phitsanulok, approximately 390 km North of Bangkok. We will visit the Wat Phra Si, which houses the famous statue of Phra Phutta Chinnarat. This bronze sculpture is almost as important to the Thais as the Emerald Buddha, who you will find in Bangkok. After our visit in the temple, we continue to Sukhotai. Dinner and overnight at the Pailyn Hotel (or similar).
Dag 2. Sukhothai - Si Satchanalai - Phrae - Phayao - Chiang Rai ( B,L,D ) After breakfast we will visit the historical park of Sukhothai, famous for its many ruins of temples and Buddha images. Sukhothai was the first capital of old Siam. We will continue to Si Satchanalai, which used to be an important satellite city for Sukhothai. A promenade along the beautiful river of Yom and over the suspension bridge, will take us to today's lunch place. Our trip continues northbound through the towns of Phrae and Phayao. As we leave Phayao you will see Wat Si Khom Kham, this temple is about 400 years old. Chiang Rai, the destination of today is coming up as the evening settles in. We overnight at Rimkok Hotel (or similar) and dinner at the same hotel.
Day 3. Chiang Rai - Mae Sai - Golden Triangle ( B,L,D ) After breakfast the journey takes us over the mountains of Doi Mae Salong and Doi Mae Chan. From here we switch over into minivan, our bus can no longer make its way through on the narrow winding mountain roads. We will visit the mountain tribes, Akha in Mae Salong and Yao In Mae Chan. Once again we changes into busses, and we continue our trip to the most Northern city in Thailand, Mae Sai, practically on the boarder of Burma. Today's lunch will be in Mae Sai. After lunch we continue to the Golden Triangle, Sop Ruak and this nights accommodation, Golden Triangle Resort, where also the dinner is served.
Day 4. The Golden Triangle - Chang Mai ( B,L,D ) After breakfast we will walk around the old ruins of the city Chiang Saen. Our trip continues to Mae Kha Jan to visit the hot springs, we also make a short stop to visit the garden of Jarin. The trip continues to the mountain of Doi Suthep, not far from the top you find the temple of Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. After visiting this temple, the trip goes on to our final destination, Chiang Mai. This night we go to a Kantoke dinner with classical Thai dance and we overnight at Rydges Tapae (or similar) in Chiang Mai.
Day 5. Chiang Mai ( B,L,D ) Breakfast at the Hotel. We will spend the whole day visiting Chiang Mai. In the morning we will visit the elephant camp Maesa, Queen Sirikit's botanical garden and an orchid farm. After lunch we will visit the craft center San Kampaeng. Dinner at the Rydges Tapae Hotel.
Day 6. Chiang Mai ( B ) Breakfast at Rydges Tapae Hotel and transfer to the airport.

Day 1. Bangkok - Korat (L) An early departure from your Bangkok hotel by air conditioned minibus to Korat (Nakorn Ratchasima). On the way we visit a local fruit and flower market. We drive through the mountains of Khao Yai (Thailand's largest Wildlife Park) and make some stops for having lunch and some refreshments and to enjoy the view and maybe to encounter some wildlife. Before arrival in Korat we visit Phrasat Phanom Wan a ruin temple from the 11th century. Continue to visit Ban Dan Kwian where villagers only make pots & ceramic. In the evening, dinner (optional) in a cosy garden restaurant. Overnight in the Ratchaphruk hotel.
Day 2. Korat - Udon Thani (BL) Breakfast. Visit to Baan Prasat. Here archaeologists found one of the earliest prehistoric civilisations (3000 BC.) in Thailand. Next stop is Prasat Hin Phimai, excellent restored Khmer ruins of the late 12th century located in a nice park. Phimai was linked by road with Angkor Wat in Cambodia. Lunch in local restaurant. During this trip we drive through the famous rice paddies of ISAN and of course we stop to make pictures. Before arrival in Udon Thani we visit Chonnabot, a village where the main source of income comes from silk waving. Overnight in Napalai hotel. Dinner (optional) near a lake, nice to go by rickshaw (= bicycle taxi).
Day 3. Udon Thani - Chiang Khan (BL) Breakfast and departure to Ban Phu National Park. Lunch at Si Chiang Mai by the Mekong River. On the other side of the river you can see Vientiane, the capital of Laos. The tour continues along the banks of the Mekong River to Chiang Khan. The side of Laos is covered in dense rain forest while the Thai side is cultivated. Check in at the Sook Somboon hotel on the bank of the Mekong river. Overnight and dinner (optional) at Sook Somboon hotel.
Day 4. Chiang Khan - Phitsanulok (BL) At sunrise their is the change to see how families in Chiang Khan offer to the monks their alms. After breakfast their is time for an optional boat trip over the Mekong river. We start driving over mountains covered with jungle. We will pass several National Parks and make plenty of stops. This is one of the most scenic and beautiful routes in Thailand. On the way we visit Bo Po Village. In this village they have a well, which contains salt water. Lunch in a local restaurant. We make a stop at Thung Saleang National Park to visit the Keang Sopa Waterfalls. If the current is not too strong we can swim under the waterfall. Overnight and dinner (optional) in the La Paloma Hotel.
Day 5. Phitsanulok - Sukhothai - Phitsanulok (BL) After breakfast and we are on the way to the ancient city of Sukhothai. We rent bicycles and spend the afternoon cycling amidst the beautiful complex of ruins this ancient capital. After lunch in the afternoon transfer back to Phitsanulok. Overnight in the La Paloma hotel. Dinner (optional) near the river.
Day 6. Phitsanulok - Chiang Mai (B) Breakfast and time for some leisure. Visit the famous temple, Wat Mahathat on the bank of the Nan River or visit the Folks Museum in town. Transfer at noon to the train station in Phitsanulok and travel by air conditioned train from Phitsanulok to Chiang Mai. The train ride takes you through mountains beautiful landscapes and mountains covered with jungle. Up on arrival Chiang Mai, transfer to your hotel in Chiang Mai.
